The Captain's Boil: Toronto's seafood boil restaurant opens in Richmond

Aug 11 2016, 12:42 am

Seafood lovers rejoice: Toronto favourite The Captain’s Boil has docked on Canada’s West Coast for the first time – in Richmond.

This Southern-style seafood-focused eatery, which recently opened on Capstan Way, offers diners heaping mounds of seafood (think crabs, lobster, clams, snow/king crabs, shrimps, mussels from NZ, and more), and of course crawfish from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana – plucked straight from the fishermen’s daily catch.

Tossed in exotic spices from around the globe and boiled to perfection, The Captain’s Boil’s sweet-tasting crustaceans are piled high on butcher’s paper covered tables. Diners can throw in corn on the cob or cajun fries on the side for good measure.

Armed with a bib and a pair of crackers only, a meal at The Captain’s Boil promises to be a deliciously messy, hands-on affair.

Drink wise, diners can seal the deal with soda, beer, sake, and soju.

At 2200 square feet, The Captain’s Boil offers seating for around 92 guests.
